Phaeton Prime is the first planet of the Girdle System, and is populated by the Potouk. Its surface is mostly barren with basic life originating from a dense asteroid collision roughly 3.3 billion years ago. It is classified by Cradle Scientists as a Class I planet.
Ecology[]
Phaeton Prime is roughly 15% water and 15% ice, the rest of the planet's surface being largely unremarkable with the exception of a series of deep canyons/cave systems that have assisted in the basic understanding of Phaeton Prime's core materials and consistency.
Governement[]
Full Sitten[]
The Planet has over the course of history developed two major cities, named Full Sitten and Half Sitten. Full Sitten exists at the center of the most fully illuminated side of Phaeton, directly underneath the Phaeton Sash. Full Sitten is ruled by the High Court of Clout, a religiously influenced collective of genetically engineered cyborg monarchs. Each Clout Apostle is in charge of longitudinal segments of the illuminated side of the planet. The collective population of Full Sitten and its neighboring domains comes to roughly 3 billion.
Half Sitten[]
Regarded as the planet's more stable and generally safer "city", Half Sitten exists on the dark side of the planet in almost completely direct positional opposition to Full Sitten. Historically, the dark side of Phaeton was not ruled by any formal form of government and was instead a forum for nearly complete, yet peaceful, anarchy. This later deteriorated into to an organized economic system via "Strand Economics." The new intellectual/resource based economy has led and organized virtually the entire dark-worlder population into a golden age. Half Sitten formed around massive spike-like geological protrusions caused by magnetic planetary shearing.
